Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to provide a display device which, even when there is an obstruction between the viewer and the display device, makes it easy to see the entire image displayed in a display region. This display device is provided with a display panel (12) having a display region (26), a panel control unit (28) displaying an image in the display region (26), and a detection unit (18) for detecting an obstruction (40) positioned in front of the display region (26). The panel control unit (28) is provided with a first generation unit (44) which, when the detection unit (18) detects the obstruction (40), generates a first display region (26a) having a display surface smaller than the display region (26) and disposed at a position where the obstruction (40) blocking the display region (26) is avoided when the display region (26) is viewed from the front.
