Abstract:
This display device is provided with: a carrying stand having a carrying surface; a light source that radiates light at a document on the carrying surface; an image formation optical element (micromirror array) having a panel shape; and a case or the like to a predetermined surface (top surface) of which the image formation optical element is inserted. The carrying surface holds the document in a state of being inclined a predetermined angle (α) with respect to the element surface of the image formation optical element. Also, by means of light that is projected from the light source, reflected by the surface of the document, and transmitted through the image formation optical element, a projected image (I') of an image (I) on the document is formed in a state of floating up from the outer surface of the panel-shaped image formation optical element. As a result, the display device can display a stereoscopic 2D image having an abundant feeling of depth floating in a space separate from the device main body.
