Abstract:
This display device is provided with: a carrying stand having a display carrying surface for carrying a flat panel display; an image formation optical element that has a panel shape; and a case, housing, or the like that houses the display. The image formation optical element is provided to the top surface of the case or the like, and the display carrying surface is disposed below the image formation optical element in the state of being inclined by a predetermined angle (α) from the bottom surface of the image formation optical element. By means of light proejcted from the display carried at the display carrying surface and transmitted through the image formation optical element, a projected image of a video (image (I)) displayed at the display is formed into an image (spatial image (I')) in the state of floating up above the image formation optical element.
