The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technique that can achieve energy saving regarding a drawing process without impairing the usability of a display device. In order to achieve said purpose, this display device has a normal mode, which is an operation mode for a normal drawing process, and at least one energy-saving mode, which is an operation mode for a drawing process in which the energy consumed is smaller than that in the normal mode, said display device comprising an information processing execution unit that executes information processing depending on the operation mode. Also, the display device comprises: an operation mode determination unit that determines, in accordance with predetermined conditions, the operation mode for the information processing to be executed by the information processing execution unit; a control unit that controls the operation of the information processing execution unit in accordance with the result of determination by the operation mode determination unit; and a drawing unit that performs a drawing process in association with the information processing by the information processing execution unit.
