Abstract:
This display device is provided with: an image forming optical element (micromirror array (M)) disposed on the upper surface of a housing so as to transmit light; a display (D) disposed inclined at a prescribed angle with respect to the lower surface of the image forming optical element; a reader (R) for non-contact reading of information stored in an information storage medium (card (C)); a sensor (S) for detecting the presence or absence of an object on the upper surface of the housing; and a control means for controlling the display on the display device. The control means prepares an image (I) corresponding to the information storage medium on the basis of the information in the information storage medium transmitted by the reader (R) and displays the image (I) that has been prepared as a spatial image (I') with good timing on the basis of an object detection signal transmitted by the sensor (S). Thus, this display device can display a stereoscopic two-dimensional image corresponding to the information storage medium disposed in the vicinity of the image forming optical element above the device with appropriate timing and replete with a sense of presence.
