Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a display device capable of superimposing and displaying an image on a background in a state where a user can visually recognize the background even when a lens array is used. This display device (100) is provided with: an optical system that has three or more lens arrays (110, 120, 130) in each of which a plurality of lenses are arranged, and is disposed to form an erecting one-to-one magnification image forming system by the three or more lens arrays (110, 120, 130); and a transparent display part (140, 180) that is disposed between any two of the three or more lens arrays and near a focal plane of at least either of the lens arrays, and the transparent display part (140, 180) has a plurality of two-dimensionally arranged pixels that are transparent to visible light and displays an image by controlling the transmittance and/or image light emission amount of each of the plurality of pixels.
