Abstract:
A heat sink 41 is provided on, for example, the lower side of a display panel 21 with a heat radiating surface on the display surface side of the display panel 21. A heat source, for example a light source 22, that generates heat in display operations that use the display panel 21 is attached to an attachment surface, which is on the side opposite to the heat radiating surface. A cover 31 that covers the heat sink 41 is provided on the display surface side of the display panel 21. Through holes 311, 312 are formed in the upper surface 31t and the lower surface 31b of the cover 31. Air taken in by the through holes 312 in the bottom surface 31b of the cover 31 cools the heat sink 41 and the air heated by the heat of the heat sink 41 is discharged to the outside by the through holes 311 in the upper surface 31t. Thus, resistance to airflow is low, and heat generated inside the display device can be released efficiently without generating noise. Heat is released on the display surface side; therefore, discoloration and the like of wallpaper on the attachment surface can be prevented or reduced.
