Abstract:
Provided is a display device that comprises a compactly storable shutter, that has a simple operation mechanism, and that can be reduced in size. The display device is characterized by comprising: a housing that comprises a top plate having an opening therein and a pair of facing side plate sections; a drive member that is provided to at least one of the pair of side plate sections, that is slidable with respect to at least one of the side plate sections, and that comprises a cam structure and a drive rack gear; a display member that engages with the cam structure and that is movable through the opening; and a shutter that is capable of moving so as to close the opening along the top plate using a drive transmission section which engages with the drive rack gear.
