Abstract:
A display device in which at least part of a circuit element constituting gate drivers is disposed in a display area, wherein an operation can be performed in two scanning modes, namely, a first scanning mode in which a plurality of gate lines are driven sequentially in a first direction, and a second scanning mode in which the plurality of gate lines are driven sequentially in a second direction, which is opposite to the first direction, and display abnormalities can be detected in both scanning modes using a feedback signal. The display device includes a timing controller 42 that outputs a start pulse for controlling the driving timing of the plurality of gate lines and that receives a feedback signal when one driving cycle of the plurality of gate lines has finished. The display device further includes: a level shifter 43 that generates a gate-line selection signal by stepping up a power supply voltage to a predetermined voltage; and level-down circuits 44 that generate a feedback signal by stepping down the selection signal when the selection signal is supplied to the gate line that is driven last among the plurality of gate lines in each of the first scanning mode and the second scanning mode.
