Abstract:
Provided is a foldable display device that has two screens for which performing an operation to change a display mode involves little trouble. According to the present invention, a smartphone 1 is a display device having two screens that are respectively held on two cases that are connected so as to be capable of rotating around an axis. In response to a user performing on, an operation unit (100), an operation that gives a command to start an application, a selection unit (101) selects the application, and then an execution unit (102) executes the application. On the basis of the degree of opening of the two cases as detected by a degree-of-opening detection unit (103) and of the tilt, relative to the vertical direction, of the two cases as detected by a tilt detection unit (104), a display control unit (105) determines, in accordance with data stored in a storage unit (106), which of the two screens to use to display an image for the application executed by the execution unit (102). In accordance with the determination made by the display control unit (105), a display unit (107) displays a screen for the application on one or both of the two screens.
