Abstract:
The present invention provides a display device capable of ensuring reliability of a flexible display panel. The display device comprises: a flexible display panel; a flexible substrate provided on the rear surface opposite the display surface of the display panel; an adhesive member for bonding a portion of the display panel to the substrate; and a housing that holds the display panel and the substrate and is capable of bending along with the display panel and the substrate. The display panel is held so as to be capable of sliding along the in-plane direction. The substrate has a cover-and-uncover switching region that is covered with the display panel when the substrate is bent and not covered with the display panel when the substrate is not bent, or vice versa.
