Abstract:
This display device has: a plurality of pixel electrodes placed on an insulation surface; a bank that covers the edge parts of the plurality of pixel electrodes, and that has an opening for exposing the top surface of each of the plurality of pixel electrodes; a light-emitting layer that covers the opening; and a removal layer provided between the bank and the light-emitting layer. The removal layer may contain an inorganic dessicant that contains calcium carbonate, calcium oxide, cesium carbonate, or phosphorous pentoxide.
