Abstract:
This display device is provided with: a substrate (10) on which a thin-film transistor is formed in a display region; a first gate driver which is formed on one end side of both opposite ends of the substrate (10), and drives the thin-film transistor; a temperature detection electrode (30) which is formed on the substrate (10) and extends from the one end side to the other end side; and an abnormality detection unit (52, E1) which, on the basis of a potential difference between both ends of the temperature detection electrode (30), detects a heat generation abnormality. Consequently, provided is a display device capable of detecting a heat generation abnormality by detecting the temperature of a display panel regardless of a display operation by a simple configuration.
