Abstract:
The present invention provides a display device capable of minimizing deterioration in image quality. This display device comprises a common electrode provided with a first common electrode and a second common electrode adjacent to each other in a first direction, with an interelectrode slit extending in a second direction being interposed between the first common electrode and the second common electrode. A pixel electrode comprises a first pixel electrode overlapping the first common electrode and a second pixel electrode overlapping the second common electrode. The first pixel electrode is supplied with a pixel signal from a first signal line and the second pixel electrode is supplied with a pixel signal from a second signal line. This pair of the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode are provided side by side with the interelectrode slit interposed therebetween in plan view. The interelectrode slit overlaps the second signal line in plan view. The polarity of the second signal line matches the polarity of the first pixel electrode and the polarity of the second pixel electrode during a display operation.
