Abstract:
The purpose of the present embodiment is to provide a display device capable of suppressing degradation in display quality. A display device according to the present embodiment is provided with: a first substrate provided with a first main surface and a first recess section; a second substrate provided with a second main surface facing the first main surface, a main spacer that is provided to the second main surface and comes into contact with the first main surface, and a sub spacer that is provided to the second main surface and is spaced apart from the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the sub spacer has an end section positioned inside the first recess section, the main spacer has a first height, the sub spacer has a second height, and the second height is higher than the first height.
