Abstract:

The present invention relates to a display device which can more easily provide a user with information about a character in a current scene upon receiving a character search request, and includes: a display unit which displays an image; a wireless communication unit which receives character information about characters related to the image; and a control unit which controls the display unit to display thumbnails of the characters on the basis of the character information, wherein the control unit may control the display unit to display an indicator on the thumbnail of a matching character, most similar to a face image of the character in the current scene, among the thumbnails of the characters.
