Abstract:
A compact and lightweight display device is provided that can respond to a change of the positional relationship between an image display device and the eyes of an observer. The display device comprises an image display device 20, a transparent member 130, and a light reflection part 140. The transparent member 130 includes a first face 131 opposed to an observer, a light entrance face 133, and a second face 132 that totally reflects light entering from the light entrance face 133. The first face 131 includes a first portion 131A and a second portion 131B. The light reflection part 140 is provided in the transparent member 130. Part of light emitted from the image display device 20 enters from the light entrance face 133, is totally reflected on the second face 132, is reflected on the light reflection part 140, is emitted from the first portion 131A, and reaches the eyes of the observer. The other part of light emitted from the image display device 20 enters from the light entrance face 133, collides with the second portion 131B, and does not to reach the eyes of the observer.
