Abstract:
Provided is a display device having both high display quality and high definition. This display device comprises a light-emitting element and a connection part. The connection part is provided along the outer periphery of a display region in which the light-emitting element is provided. The light-emitting element has a pixel electrode, a first EL layer on the pixel electrode, a second EL layer on the first EL layer, and a common electrode on the second EL layer. The connection part has a connection electrode, the second EL layer on the connection electrode, and the common electrode on the second EL layer. The second EL layer has a first region that abuts on the connection electrode, and a second region that abuts on the common electrode. The area of a region where the first region and the second region overlap each other when viewed from above is 40000 square micrometers or more. The second EL layer has a region with a film thickness of 0.5-15 nm. The second EL layer contains a substance having a high electron injection property.
