Provided is a display device having excellent heat dissipation. A display device (1A) comprises: a black matrix substrate (3) that includes a transparent substrate (31) having a first main surface and a second main surface, a black matrix (32) provided atop the first main surface and having a plurality of first through-holes, a resin layer (34) provided atop the black matrix (32) and having second through-holes at the positions of the first through-holes, and a reflective layer (35) that at least partially covers side walls of the second through-holes and an upper surface of the resin layer (34); a dimmer (2) installed so as to face the first main surface; a bonding layer (4) that is interposed between the black matrix substrate (3) and the dimmer (2) to bond together the black matrix substrate and the dimmer; a heat dissipator (5A) positioned outside a laminated body of the black matrix substrate (3), the dimmer (2), and the bonding layer (4); and heat transfer bodies (6A, 7) that guide heat from the reflective layer (35) to the heat dissipator (5A).
