Abstract:
Provided are a display element and an electronic device using the same, the display element making it possible to reduce the surface area of a substrate comprising a light-emitting element, and also realizing improved stability with respect to connecting a drive integrated circuit to a substrate and a flexible substrate. The display element comprises: a substrate having a light emission surface on which a light-emitting element is provided; a drive integrated circuit having a drive circuit for controlling the driving of the light-emitting element; and a flexible substrate having a connection terminal. The drive integrated circuit is provided on one surface of the substrate, and the flexible substrate is provided on the surface of the drive integrated circuit which is not facing the substrate.
