Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the technical field of games. Provided are a display method and apparatus in a game, and a terminal device and a storage medium. The display method comprises: according to a first position of a controlled virtual character in a game scene and a second position of a target virtual object in the game scene, determining orientation information and horizontal plane relative information of the target virtual object with respect to the controlled virtual character; according to the orientation information, determining a target orientation corresponding to the target virtual object on an orientation indicator; according to the horizontal plane relative information, determining a target horizontal plane indication area corresponding to the target virtual object on a graphical user interface and the orientation indicator; and displaying an orientation indication icon of the target virtual object at a position corresponding to the target orientation in the target horizontal plane indication area. An orientation indication icon indicates the orientation of a target virtual object with respect to a controlled virtual character, and also indicates horizontal plane relative information, that is, indicating a vertical spatial relation, such that presented position information of the target virtual object is more comprehensive, thereby improving the user experience.
