Abstract:

A display method capable of appropriately transmitting a visible light communication signal comprises: a step (SL11) for generating, as a first visible light communication image, a striped image for visible light communication by coding the visible light communication signal; a step (SL12) for displaying an image included in a video signal in a predetermined frame; and a step (SL13) for displaying, as an image for identification, an image having a uniformly lower brightness than the average brightness of the displayed image in the predetermined frame, and subsequently displaying the first visible light communication image. In the step (SL13), after the image included in the video signal is displayed in the predetermined frame, the first image for identification and the first visible light communication image are respectively displayed in the same frame as the predetermined frame only for a period shorter than that of the predetermined frame.
