This display device is provided with: a display panel that comprises display elements including a light-emitting part and a driver circuit for driving the light-emitting part, the display elements arrayed in a two-dimensional matrix on a substrate; and a luminance correction unit for correcting the luminance of the display elements when the display panel displays an image by correcting the gradation value of a video signal. A partition wall (60) is provided between adjacent light-emitting parts in the display panel and guides stray light coming from the light-emitting part into an optical sensor (4) provided at the display panel. The luminance correction unit corrects the gradation value of the video signal corresponding to each of the display elements on the basis of the gradation value of the video signal before correction and the detection results from the optical sensor.
