Abstract:
A display panel and a display device comprising the display panel. The display panel comprises a first substrate (11), a second substrate (10), a backing plate (12), and a chip (IC). The second substrate (10) comprises an area overlapped by the first substrate (11) and an area not overlapped by the first substrate (11). A chip installation area is provided in the area not overlapped by the first substrate. The backing plate (12) is disposed within the chip installation area and comprises a holding portion (121). The chip (IC) is disposed within the holding portion (121) of the backing plate (12), and is electrically connected to the second substrate (10).
