Abstract:
The present invention provides a display panel and a manufacturing method therefor. The display panel defines a display area and an edge area, and the display panel comprises a substrate, a gate layer, a gate insulating layer, a thin film encapsulation layer, and a polyimide layer. A buffer groove is provided on the gate insulating layer such that when the polyimide layer is formed, an ink-jet-printed polyimide solution has a reduced flow velocity at the edge area, and thus solidifies to form the polyimide layer before crossing a retaining wall, thereby avoiding phenomena such as sealant contamination and stripping.
