Abstract:
A display panel superior in durability can be provided by increasing a sealing strength and a mechanical strength of a sealing potion by a fritted glass. A display panel (1) comprises an EL substrate (2) having an organic EL element formed on one side, and a CF substrate (3) having a color filter so that the EL substrate (2) and the CF substrate (3) are opposed with a sealing resin layer (110) therebetween, wherein outer peripheral portions of the substrates (2, 3) are sealed by a fritted glass portion (120) and a sealing portion (130). The CF substrate (3) is provided with a light blocking portion (140) formed along the fritted glass portion (120). In an area (140c) of the light blocking portion (140) wherein the fritted glass is formed, the light blocking amount is set to be larger on the inner peripheral side area (140a) than the outer peripheral side area (140b). During drying and sintering at the time of panel production, a laser beam transmits the light blocking portion (140) and is irradiated on the fritted glass.
