Abstract:
A method for producing a display panel wherein a plurality of pixels are arranged, each having an organic EL element and wiring, the method comprising: a layering step of layering a light-emitting layer (12) constituting the organic EL elements, and a drive circuit layer (11) constituting the wiring; and a laser irradiation step of irradiating, with a femtosecond laser, a predetermined region of wiring having a shorted part from the back side so as not to pass through the light-emitting layer (12). The laser irradiation step comprises: a first laser irradiation step, wherein the predetermined region is irradiated with the femtosecond laser with the beam diameter being narrowed so that the beam diameter is approximately the width of the wiring, and; and a second laser irradiation step, wherein the corners of the predetermined region are irradiated with the femtosecond laser with the beam diameter being narrowed so that the beam diameter is a smaller beam diameter than the beam diameter in the first laser irradiation step, thereby cutting the wiring in the predetermined region.
