Abstract:
The present invention is directed to provide an automatic display stand (2) having illuminating means (12) for articles of all types. The automatic display stand is provided to achieve a desired length in an exact and convenient way under the telescopic operation of the height control member (5). the rotational motion is automatically activated by a detector (6) wherein the rotation of the display plate (1) can be stably kept in a spin motion when the viewer approaches to the display stand. The light illuminating means (12) is connected by a flexible tube (11) having the changeable direction of light shots and is combined with the display stand for the maximum display effect.

Description:
Display stand having an illuminating means Technical Field The present invention relates to a display stand having an illuminating means for displaying merchandise under an automatic operation, and more particularly a display stand provided to achieve a desired length in an exact and convenient way under the telescopic operation of pipes vertically, and the automatic rotation activated by a sensing member wherein the rotation of a display plate can be stably kept in a spin motion when a viewer approaches, and a light illuminating means being connected with a flexible tube combined with the display stand for the optimal condition of any display of goods.

Background Art A single column display stand for various merchandise shows a structure having an extendable stand and a rotatable member of the display plate.

For an example, US 4,645, 081 relates to a typical structure of the prior art under a single column with a rotatable supporting ring.

But this kind of structure still has little advantage for attracting viewer's attention, especially for enhancing the display effect of goods because the structure of the column stand and the rotatable supporting ring is simply operated by a manual type, and no typical function except the variation of display height.

In order to overcome these disadvantages of manual process for displaying articles, the present invention is directed to provide an automatic rotation of the displayed goods using a detector for sensing a viewer's approaches wherein the rotation of a display plate can-be stably kept in a spin motion, and a light illuminating means being connected with a flexible tube combined with the display stand for the optimal condition of any display of goods.

Disclosure of the invention It is therefore that the purpose of present invention is to provide an automatic display stand having an illuminating means for

maximizing the display function which is capable of eliminating such disadvantages of the manual operation in the prior art.

According to the first embodiment of the present invention, the length adjusting embodiments of the column stand provided to achieve desired length in an exact and convenient way under the telescopic operation of pipe and the extension pipe to desired length in a-fast and precise manner wherein the adjusted length can be stably kept against external impacts, and the length adjustment of the extensible pipes can be simply achieved by means of the simple operation.

The second embodiment of the present invention is related to a sensing mechanism for operating the display plate in a smooth rotation using the motor and PC8 (Printed Circuit Board) in accordance with the embodiment of an automatic driving means by detecting a viewer's approaches and actuating the rotation of a display plate in a spin motion so as to display all angles of merchandise.

In addition, according to the third embodiment of the present invention, the light illuminating means having a flexible tube installed on the column stand is devised to maximize the display effect in accordance with the multi-directional setting of light by the flexible tube.

Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention The present invention is directed to provide to an automatic display stand (2) having illuminating means (12) for articles of all types, provided to achieve a desired length in an exact and convenient way under the telescopic operation of the height control member (5), related to a rotational motion automatically activated by a detector (6) wherein the rotation of the display plate (1) can be stably kept in a spin motion when a viewer approaches to the display stand, and the light illuminating means (12) connected by a flexible tube (11) having the changeable direction of light shots is combined on the display stand for the maximum display effect.

Detail explanations of the constitutional structure under the present invention will now be discussed.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an automatic display stand under the first embodiment, and FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the automatic display embodiment showing the inner state of a extendable pipe, and FIG. 3 and 3a show a cross-sectional view of a height control embodiment showing the telescopic mechanism of the pipes.

The present invention under the first embodiment comprise a rotating display plate (1) and a stable stand base (3) being combined with a supporting member (2) telescopically being adjusted by a height adjusting member (5), and a detector (6) being installed in the stand base (3) for actuating the display plate (1) in a spin motion when a viewer approaches.

Specifically, the embodiment includes the display plate (1) as the mentioned above being connected with a motor (4) located on the upper portion of the supporting member (2), the supporting member (2) operated by a slideable combination between an inner pipe (2a) and outer pipe (2b), and the height adjusting device (5) installed between the telescopic pipes actuate the height control of the display stand (2), and further a detector (6) installed on the surface of the

stand base (3) located at the low position of the supporting member (2) detects the approaches of the viewer to the display stand (2) and it actuates upon the motor (4) being connected between PCB (7) and the detector (6) so as to rotate the display plate (1).

According to the present invention, the power supply for actuating the motor (4) can be selectable for using the power of batteries (9) or an adapter (8) being equipped for the outer source of the electric power. The selectable use of the electric power as the combination of adapter (8) or the batteries (9) installed in the stand base (3) enhances more convenient and flexible use of the display stand under the present invention in accordance with the various purposes of a display stand.

According to the first embodiment of present invention, the height adjusting member (5) of the column stand for the optimal view depending on the article to be displayed is provided to achieve a desired length in an exact and convenient way under the telescopic operation of pipe and the extension pipe to a desired length in a fast and precise manner wherein the adjusted height can be stably kept against external impacts, and the length adjustment of an extension pipes can be simply achieved by means of the smooth operation.

Now, hereinafter, more detail structure of the height adjusting member (5) can be discussed. An actuating part (51) fixed on the upper part of an outer pipe (2b) being tightly combined with the stand base (3), an adjusting nob (52) slideably combined with the outer part of the actuating part (51) and the adjusting nob (52) is being resiliently combined with a spring (54) installed between a grip cap (53) and the actuating part (51).

By an optimal displacement along the pipe direction ouf the actuating nob (52), the inner part of the adjusting nob (52) comprising an actuating part (56) acts on-an actuating hole (55) formed on an actuating part (51) and provides a released space for a stopper (57) which is attachable and detachable with the groove (58, 58t) formed on the outer surface of inner pipe (2a) being slideable with the outer pipe (2b).

The stopper (57 being released and locked on the groove (58,

58') on the inner pipe (2a) through the actuating hole (55) of the actuating part (51) is ready to actuate by the movement of the actuating hole (55).

On the other hand, Fig 4 and Fig 5 is directed to the another embodiments of present invention. According to the second embodiment of the present invention, the structure of the display stand is related to a sensing mechanism for actuating the display plate in a rotational motion using the motor and PCB installed in accordance with the embodiment of an automatic driving means.

Under the ordinary state, the display plate (1) is kept to a stationary state but a viewer approaches within a pre-set distance from the detector installed on the stand base (3), the detector (6) activate the motor (4) for rotational motion of the display plate (2) connected with on the upper portion of the supporting member (2) so as to enhance the displaying effect of merchandise.

In addition, the detail structure according to the third embodiment of the present invention as the light illuminating means having a flexible tube installed on the column stand is devised for the maximized display effect in accordance with the multi-directional setting of light by the flexible tube.

As shown on Fig 4 and Fig 5, a flexible tube (11) attached on the supporting member (2) comprises a light illuminating member (12) which can be adjusted for the light shot in various angles and directions necessary for depending on the purpose of light effect of the merchandise. Nevertheless-the light illuminating member (12) can be set by a colorful lamp or series of lamps depending on the suitable light effect in order to maximize the merchandise value. Also depending on the merchandise properties, the location of the flexible tube (11) can be changeable. The location of attachment to the display stand (2) can be set on the stand base (3) or upper portion of inner pipe (2a) not mainly fixed on the supporting member (2).

As shown on the structure mentioned above, the present invention provides optimal condition for displaying merchandise by adjusting the height of the display plate (1) and its automatic operation activated by. the detector (6) and the motor (4).

The height of the display plate (1) can be adjusted as the following mechanism under the present invention.

As shown on Fig 4 and Fig 5, when a directional force applied to the adjusting nob (52), the spring (54) installed between a grip cap (53) and actuating part (51) is force to compressed and simultaneously provides a released space for a stopper (57) which can be detachable with the groove (58, 58') formed on the outer surface of inner pipe (2a) being slideable with the outer pipe (2b). As shown on the above state, the outer pipe (2b) can be shorten and enlarged with respect to the inner pipe (2a) by the relative motion of the telescopic pipe without the interference of stooper (57) resulting the suitable adjustment for the display plate (1) from the display base (3).

When a suitable height accomplish, the released adjusting, nob (52) return the compressed spring (54) to the original state resulting the resilient force of spring (54) activate the actuating part (56) so that the actuating hole (56) can be shut and simultaneously the stooper (57) is attached on the groove (58,58a) of the inner pipe (2a).

In summary, as apparent from the foregoing, the present invention enables the simple length control using one-touch manipulation resulting the smooth telescopic operation to a desired height, a sensing mechanism for actuating the display plate in a spin motion using the motor and PCB installed in accordance with the embodiment of an automatic driving means, and further the light illuminating means having a flexible tube installed on the column stand is devised for the maximized display effect in accordance with the multi-directional setting of light by the flexible tube.

Those skilled in the art will readily recognize that these and other modifications and changes may be made to the present invention without strictly following the exemplary application illustrated and described herein and without departing from the true spirit and scope of the present invention.

Industrial Applicabilitv As shown on the above description, the present invention is advantageous and effective in that the embodiment of height control

and the automatic rotation of the display plate in connection with the light illuminating means ensures wide application, and further maximize and harmonize'the displaying effect of merchandise in order to enhance the value of merchandise.

While the invention has been described in terms of a few preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modification within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
