Abstract:
The present invention allows a user to locate, on a screen, an I/O device without physically tracing wiring, and to identify, on the screen, the appearance of the I/O device without referring to specifications. This display support equipment, which has an input unit and a display unit and is connected to control equipment that retains a sequence program and allocation information including at least the names of I/O devices for inputting and outputting signals and the addresses of the signals, is provided with: a design information management unit that retains design information including at least the names of the I/O devices and images of the I/O devices; and an I/O information acquisition unit that acquires, from the control equipment, allocation information relating to a signal selected by a user in the sequence program, acquires the design information of the I/O device corresponding to the acquired allocation information, and notifies the display unit of the allocation information of the selected signal and/or the design information of the I/O device.
