Abstract:
The present invention provides a display system which enables weight reduction and enhanced visibility of VR goggles. A display system according to an embodiment of the present invention displays an image to a user, and comprises: a display element that has a display surface for emitting light representing the image forward via a polarizing member; a reflective polarizing member that is disposed in front of the display element, and reflects the light emitted from the display element; a first lens part that is disposed on an optical path between the display element and the reflective polarizing member; a half mirror that is disposed between the display element and the first lens part, transmits the light emitted from the display element, and reflects the light reflected by the reflective polarizing member toward the reflective polarizing member; a second lens part that is disposed in front of the reflective polarizing member; a first λ/4 member that is disposed on an optical path between the display element and the half mirror; a second λ/4 member that is disposed on an optical path between the half mirror and the reflective polarizing member; and a protection member that is disposed on the optical path between the display element and the half mirror and/or on an optical path between the half mirror and the second lens. Regarding the protection member, the Y value of five-degree regular reflectance in a wavelength range from 420 nm to 680 nm is 0.3% or less, the five-degree regular reflectance at a wavelength of 450 nm is 0.3% or less, the five-degree regular reflectance at a wavelength of 600 nm is 0.3% or less, and the ratio of the five-degree regular reflectance at a wavelength of 420 nm to the five-degree regular reflectance at a wavelength of 680 nm is 0.3-9 inclusive.
