A video processing device (140) according to this embodiment is provided with: a determination unit (143) which, according to an original video, determines whether to perform pixel shift display or not; a control signal generation unit (145) which, on the basis of the result of the determination by the determination unit (143), generates a control signal indicating ON/Off of the pixel shift display, and a pixel display position when the pixel shift display is ON; a display image generation unit (146) which, on the basis of the result of the determination by the determination unit (143), generates a display image from the original video; and an addition unit (147) which adds the control signal to the display image.
