Abstract:
The present invention is a device for monitoring the surroundings of a work machine and is provided in the work machine, wherein the device is provided with: a plurality of cameras C1-C4 for acquiring the surrounding conditions of the work machine; a surroundings monitoring control unit 40 for generating a time-varying image 63 and outputting, as a video signal S1, images captured by the plurality of cameras C1-C4 and subjected to predetermined processing; a display unit 16 for displaying the time-varying image 63 and the images subjected to the predetermined processing on the basis of the video signal S1 outputted from the surroundings monitoring control unit 40; and a monitor control unit 43 that, when the time-varying image 63 does not change for a prescribed time, communicates an error to the effect that the predetermined processing of the surroundings monitoring control unit 40 has malfunctioned. It is thereby possible, using a simple configuration, to promptly ascertain malfunctioning in the predetermined processing of the surroundings monitoring control unit 40.
