Abstract:
A display is provided with a center wheel (116) which rotates at a prescribed speed. The rotation of a sun gear (114) is controlled and the sun gear has external teeth (114a). A planetary gear (132) having a smaller number of teeth than that of the sun gear (114) engages with the external teeth (114a) of the sun gear (114) and is rotatably fitted to the center wheel (116). A display member (150) rotates as the planetary gear (132) rotates and is supported displaceably in a radial direction of the planetary gear (132). The display member (150) moves along a partially deformed cycloidal curve as the planetary gear (132) rotates. The display member (150) of this display realizes a wide extent of display which is easy to see.
