Abstract:
Provided is a disposable absorbent article whereby an absorber can be used effectively in a broad range. A urine pad (1) includes a topsheet (20), a backsheet (30), and a first absorber (40) positioned between the sheets (20, 30). The absorber (40) includes a middle region (46) positioned in the middle in the lateral direction (X) and two low-rigidity regions (47) positioned on the outside thereof in the lateral direction (X), the two low-rigidity regions being of lower rigidity than that of the middle region (46). Formed in the middle region (46) of the absorber (40) are a plurality of grooves (43) in which an interlining (41) is substantially not present. Between the absorber (40) and the backsheet (30), a plurality of elastic bodies (60) extending in the lateral direction (X) are attached in a stretched state so as to be shrinkable. The elastic bodies (60) are arranged in an intermediate area (13), and are attached extending to the outside of two edges of the absorber (40). On the outside of the grooves (43) in the longitudinal direction (Y) are formed front/rear absorption sections (48, 49) where no groove is formed and where the interlining (41) is present.
