Abstract:

A disposable diaper is not largely displaced in position when being worn by the wearer and has excellent air permeability. At least one waist region (13) of front and rear waist regions (13, 14) is stretchable, and the waist region (13) is partitioned into a first stretchable region (13A) extending in the lateral direction (X) in a waist opening end section and into a second stretchable section (13B) extending in the lateral direction (X) between the first stretchable region (13A) and the inner end of said waist region (13). A waist elastic element (24) is provided to the second stretchable region (13B), and this causes the second stretchable region (13B) to have higher tensile stress than the first stretchable region (13A). Air flow paths (25) extending in the longitudinal direction (Y) are formed in the waist region (13), and those portions of the air flow paths (25) which are in the second stretchable region (13B) have a smaller width than those portions of the air flow paths (25) which are in the first stretchable region (13A).
