Description

THE DISPOSABLE HAIR-BAND FOR CUTTING OFF LIQUID

FOR PERMANENT WAVE

Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to a hair band which, when perming is conducted to design the hair of a man or a woman, can prevent perm liquid from flowing down the user's face and, more particularly, to a disposable hair band for preventing perm liquid from flowing down, which not only can be used regardless of the size of the user's head, but also can perfectly realize a prevention function because the prevention is made possible by three portions of the hair band, and, in addition, which is made of inexpensive and easily obtained non-woven fabrics, thus being disposable. Background Art

[2] Generally, chemicals for perming include an oxidizing agent and a neutralizing agent. When such perm chemicals come into contact with the skin, it may cause users to feel discomfort due to its specific smell and ingredients, and may also cause side effects on the skin. In addition, when such perm chemicals come into contact with the eyes, it may result in pain.

[3] Accordingly, when perming is conducted, in order to prevent perm chemicals from flowing down the face, a hair band is put on the boundary between the head and the face, for example, the brow.

[4] The conventional hair band, described above, is chiefly made of a simple fiber band, or is manufactured such that the inner portion is formed using a core, which is made of pulp material such as tissue, and the outer portion thereof is made of cotton, towel fabric or the like. This hair band is put on the brow (the boundary between the scalp and the face) using two pieces of magic tape attached to the respective ends thereof. However, in this case, the band itself has no elasticity, so that inconvenience occurs in that bands having large, medium and small sizes must be provided to fit the size of a user's head. Furthermore, when the hair band is worn, the hair band is not brought into tight, close contact with the brow because it has no elasticity, with the result that the case where perm liquid flows down to the face through gaps occurs occasionally, and thus inconvenience occurs in that a temporary measure of inserting wastepaper into the inner side of the band to prevent the perm liquid from flowing down must be used. Furthermore, the hair band is not a disposable hair band and is consecutively reused by a number of users, so that problems occur in that it may cause the users to feel discomfort and in that it is insanitary. Disclosure of Invention

Technical Problem

[5] Accordingly, the present invention has been invented to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a disposable hair band for preventing perm liquid from flowing down, which is configured such that elasticity is imparted, thus not only being usable regardless of the size of the head of a user such as a man, a woman or a child, but also thus increasing closeness of contact made with the brow when the hair band is worn, and which is configured such that an absorption member, in which pulverized pulp is contained, absorbs the whole quantity of perm liquid flowing down, thus perfectly realizing a prevention function, and which is manufactured to be a disposable product, thus being more sanitarily usable.

[6] In order to accomplish the above object, the present invention provides a disposable hair band for preventing a perm liquid from flowing down, the hair band having a band shape, and comprising three non- woven fabric layers, that is, an outer coat, an absorption member and an inner coat, each of which is made of non- woven fabric and which are separated from each other, wherein: the hair band is configured in such a way that elastic parts are formed by adding rubber bands onto the upper and lower ends of the three non- woven fabric layers, which overlap each other, and sewing the added rubber bands thereon, and that pieces of fastening double-sided tape are attached to respective ends of the inner coat of the hair band.

[7] Furthermore, the absorption member is configured such that pulverized pulp, which sufficiently absorbs water and is soluble in water, is contained therein to impart a mesh structure.

[8] Furthermore, the hair band is integrated with ear covers, which are spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance under the hair band to cover a user's ears.

[9] Furthermore, the three-layer non- woven fabrics are manufactured to have cloth shapes by applying heat and pressure to the fiber itself, rather than by weaving, to irregularly form a great number of pores in surfaces thereof.

[24]

Mode for the Invention

[25] A preferred embodiment of the present invention is described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings below.

[26] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the entire construction of a hair band according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is a partially cut-away perspective view showing an example in which the hair band according to the present invention is configured to have three layers, FIG. 3 is a view showing the longitudinal section of FIG. 1, and FIGS. 4 and 5 are views showing practical applications of the present invention.

[27] As shown in FIG. 1, in a disposable hair band for preventing a perm liquid from flowing down, the hair band 1 having a band shape, and comprising three non-woven fabric layers, that is, an outer coat 2, an absorption member 3 and an inner coat 4, each of which is made of non- woven fabric and which are separated from each other. The hair band 1 is configured in such a way that elastic parts 5 and 5a are formed by adding rubber bands onto the upper and lower ends of the three non- woven fabric layers 2, 3 and 4, which overlap each other, and sewing the added rubber bands thereon, and that pieces of fastening double-sided tape 6 and 6a are attached to respective ends of the inner coat 4 of the hair band 1.

[28] Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2, the absorption member 3 is configured such that pulverized pulp, which sufficiently absorbs water and is soluble in water, is contained therein to impart a mesh structure 3a.

[29] Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 5, the hair band 1 is integrated with ear covers 7 and

7a, which are spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance under the hair band 1 to cover a user's ears.

[30] Furthermore, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, the three-layer non- woven fabrics 2, 3 and 4 are manufactured to have cloth shapes by applying heat and pressure to the fiber itself rather than by weaving, to irregularly form a great number of pores in the surfaces thereof.

[31] In the present invention, constructed as described above, when a user puts the hair band 1 around the brow (the boundary between the scalp and the face), and attaches

one of the pieces of fastening double-sided tape 6 and 6a, which are formed on the respective inner surfaces of two ends of the hair band 1, to the brow and then the other to the front surface of the first end of the hair band 1 attached to the brow, the wearing of the hair band 1 is completed as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. In this state, the wearing of the hair band 1 is securely maintained by the pieces of fastening double-sided tape 6 and 6a and, in addition, the closeness of the contact between the brow and the hair band 1 is increased because the surface of the inner coat 4 is brought into tight, close contact with the brow by the elastic parts 5 and 5a, which are formed on the respective upper and lower ends of the hair band 1. In this state, when perming is conducted, any perm liquid is perfectly prevented from flowing down to the face. For example, the perm liquid is primarily prevented from flowing down to the face because the hair band 1 is brought into tight, close contact with the brow by the upper elastic part 5 when it is worn, and the perm liquid, which has not yet been prevented from flowing down by the above, is secondarily prevented from flowing down because it is absorbed by the absorption member 3 in which the pulverized pulp is contained. In this case, even when the liquid that is absorbed by the mesh structure 3a of the pulverized pulp contained in the absorption member 3 is stored in the mesh structure 3a, the absorption of liquid continues, so that the volume of the absorption member 3 having a state of soft gel is gradually increased, and thus the whole quantity of perm liquid is absorbed. Subsequently, the liquid is tertiarily prevented from flowing down by the closeness of the contact made by the lower elastic part 5a. Accordingly, the perm liquid can be perfectly prevented from flowing down.

[32] Meanwhile, a great number of pores are irregularly formed in the pieces of non- woven fabric 2, 3 and 4 constituting the hair band 1, as described above. Accordingly, the pores functions as capillary tubes, and thus perm chemicals can be uninterruptedly absorbed by the absorption member 3 through the pores. Industrial Applicability

[33] As described above, the hair band according to the present invention is configured such that elasticity is imparted by the upper and lower elastic parts, being usable regardless of the size of the head of a user, such as a man, a woman and a child, with the result that the efficiency of use is improved. Furthermore, perm liquid can be perfectly prevented from flowing down in such a way that the perm liquid is primarily prevented from flowing down to the face because closeness of contact made with the brow is increased by the upper elastic part when the hair band is worn, and that the perm liquid which has not yet been prevented from flowing down by the above, is secondarily prevented from flowing down because it is absorbed by the absorption member in which the pulverized pulp is contained, and that the perm liquid is tertiarily

prevented by closeness of contact made by the lower elastic part. In particular, the present invention is manufactured to be a disposable product, thus being more sanitarily usable. [34]
