Abstract:
This disposable nappy (1) has a torso-surrounding opening, one pair of leg-surrounding openings, and downward-extending-leg sections which extend down along sections of the legs of a wearer during wear to form the leg-surrounding openings. The disposable nappy (1) is provided with: a least one pair of leak preventing barriers (15), each of which extends along the longitudinal direction and has a free end (15FF) and a fixed end (15SS), and a free-end section (15F) including the corresponding free end; and one pair of leg-surrounding sheets (19) which are located on the outer side of each leak preventing barrier in the transverse direction, and which are extendable. Each of the leak preventing barriers is provided with a free-end section elastic member (31), i.e. an elastic member which is attached in an extended state to the free-end section of the leak preventing barrier and which extends in the longitudinal direction. An inner side-edge section of each of the leg-surrounding sheets in the transverse direction is joined to the free end and the fixed end of the leak preventing wall. When joining, each leg-surrounding sheet is in a non-extended state.
