Abstract:
Provided is a disposable wearable article that can prevent excrement, such as urine, from accumulating between a pair of leak-preventing flaps and prevent excrement from leaking. This disposable diaper (10) has a longitudinal direction (Y) and a lateral direction (X) which are orthogonal to one another, and comprises: a skin opposing surface and a skin non-opposing surface; a front waist region (13); a back waist region (14); a crotch region (15) located between the front and back waist regions (13, 14); an elastic waist panel (11) that defines the front and back waist regions (13, 14) and that is formed of front and back waist panels (18, 19); and a crotch panel (12) that is connected to the elastic waist panel (11) and defines the crotch region (15), the crotch panel including a pair of leg-surrounding seal regions (20) and a liquid-absorbent structure (49). The liquid-absorbent structure (49) comprises a liquid-absorbent material layer (62) that includes liquid-absorbent polymer particles (63) and that is provided between liquid-permeable upper and lower sheets (60, 61). The liquid-absorbent structure has a central region (41) located in the center in the lateral direction (X), and side regions (42) located on both sides in the lateral direction (X). Each side region (42) is formed as a portion of the leg-surrounding seal region (20) by being folded toward the central region (41) along a virtual folding line (21) located between the central region (41) and each side region (42). An absorbent region (64) extends along the lateral direction (X) from the central region (41), beyond the virtual folding lines (21), and up to the side regions (42).
