Abstract:
A distance image generation device is provided with a light irradiation unit for irradiating signal light from a light source toward a subject, a light reception unit for receiving light reflected from the subject, a distance image generation unit for calculating values for distances to the subject and generating a distance image on the basis of the time differences between the irradiation and the reception, a distance value distribution analysis unit for calculating a distribution characteristic of the distance values calculated by the distance image generation unit, an irradiation control unit for adjusting the output of the light irradiation unit, an exposure control unit for adjusting the exposure of the light reception unit, and a signal adjustment unit for adjusting the irradiation control unit and exposure control unit on the basis of the distribution characteristic. The signal adjustment unit adjusts the irradiation control unit and exposure control unit for a second light signal on the basis of the distribution characteristic obtained from the irradiation and reception of a first light signal.
