Abstract:
This distance measurement device (1) comprises a light reception unit (110), a light source unit (200), a conversion unit (134), and a calculation unit (300). The light reception unit (110) receives light and outputs a pixel signal. The light source unit (200) projects light according to a first irradiation pattern in a first period, and projects light according to a second irradiation pattern in a second period. The conversion unit (134) successively converts the pixel signal bit-by-bit by binary search, and performs conversion of a first number of bits in the first period and outputs a first digital signal, and performs conversion with a second number of bits, which is smaller than the first number of bits, in the second period and outputs a second digital signal. The calculation unit (300) calculates a distance on the basis of the first digital signal and the second digital signal.
