Abstract:
In this distance measurement device, wireless communication devices (12, 14) which receive, with antennas, a wireless signal transmitted from a mobile terminal (2) and detect the signal strength thereof (RSSI) are arranged on both sides of the body of a vehicle, the distance from which is to be measured, and an ECU (30) measures the distance between the vehicle and the mobile terminal (2) by calculating the difference between the RSSI values obtained by the wireless communication devices (12, 14). By this means, it is possible to measure distance without being affected by obstructions such as human bodies.
