Abstract:
A distance measurement device (1) is provided with a pulse light emission unit (20) for emitting pulse light toward an object of measurement (10), an optical sensor unit (30) for receiving pulse light that has been reflected by the object of measurement (10), and a control unit (40) for controlling the timing of the emission of pulse light from the pulse light emission unit (20) and determining the distance to the object of measurement (10) on the basis of the reception timing of the reflected light detected by the optical sensor unit (30). The control unit (40) sets the light emission timing to times delayed by a random first time delay from the start times of each of N (where N is a natural number less than K) periods selected randomly from K (where K is a natural number greater than or equal to 2) continuous periods.
