Abstract:
A distance measurement method and device, applied to the field of automatic driving or intelligent driving, and in particular, to the technologies such as environmental perception and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADASs). The distance measurement method comprises: obtaining a first imaging size h of a target object from a first photographing unit; obtaining a first parallax z of the target object from a second photographing unit; and determining a target distance between the target object and the first photographing unit or the second photographing unit by using a first relationship on the basis of at least one of a second physical size H' of the target object and a second baseline length b', and the first imaging size h and the first parallax z. The method combines monocular distance measurement and binocular distance measurement to determine the target distance, so that the measurement accuracy is improved and a measurement range is expanded.
