Abstract:
A distance measurement system (1) is provided with: a signal generation unit (30) for generating a light emission signal instructing that light be irradiated and an exposure signal instructing that exposure to reflected light be carried out; a first light source unit for illumination and distance measurement (20) that carries out, upon receiving the light emission signal, illumination not intended for distance measurement and carries out light irradiation for distance measurement using reflected light; an imaging unit (10) for receiving the exposure signal, carrying out exposure, and acquiring a reflected light exposure amount; and a calculation unit (40) for using the exposure amount to calculate and output distance information. The distance measurement system (1) has, as operation modes, an illumination mode for making the first light source unit for illumination and distance measurement carry out illumination and a first distance measurement mode for carrying out first distance measurement by making the first light source unit for illumination and distance measurement irradiate light and making the imaging unit operate.
