Abstract:
The present technology pertains to: a distance measuring device with which a high-resolution depth image can be generated from sparse depth information with high accuracy; a control method thereof; and a distance measuring system. The distance measuring device comprises: a light receiving unit which has a plurality of pixels for receiving reflected light of irradiation light reflected by an object; a high-resolution processing unit which generates a high-resolution depth image from a sparse depth image acquired by the light receiving unit; and a position determination unit which determines, on the basis of edge information of the high-resolution depth image, an active pixel that performs a light-receiving operation in the light receiving unit. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a distance measuring system that detects the distance to an object in the depth direction.
