Abstract:
Disclosed is a distance measuring device provided with: an image input unit which inputs a plurality of viewpoint images obtained by capturing images of a subject from different viewpoints; an acquisition unit which pays attention to each of a plurality of attention distances and acquires calibration data corresponding to each of the attention distances from among a plurality of pieces of calibration data for matching two-dimensional coordinates of the viewpoint images and three-dimensional coordinates in a real space; an image correction unit which corrects the plurality of viewpoint images on the basis of the respective calibration data with respect to each of the attention distances; a disparity calculation unit which calculates the disparity between the corrected plurality of viewpoint images with respect to each of the attention distances; a comparison unit which specifies optimum calibration data by comparing the corrected viewpoint images over the plurality of attention distances to which attention was paid; a distance calculation unit which calculates the subject distance on the basis of the disparity; and an output unit which outputs, as a measurement result, the subject distance calculated from the disparity between the viewpoint images corrected by the optimum calibration data.
