Abstract:
 This distance measuring device determines the distance to an object being measured on the basis of an image captured using at least two first imaging optical systems by means of a compound lens camera provided with a plurality of first imaging optical systems that are integrally arranged, and an image captured by a single lens camera. A first baseline length between the second imaging optical system and one of the two first imaging optical systems, and a second baseline length between the two first imaging optical systems are set in such a manner that converted values of the first and second baseline lengths have a relationship of a non-integer multiple when the same parallax amount is converted to a reciprocal of the distance to the object being measured.
