Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a distance measuring device and a distance measuring method which enable highly accurate distance measurement even in an environment in which a plurality of distance measuring devices are present. An interval at which a light source of a device itself emits light is increased, an exposure period is set in synchronism with the light emission timing, a pixel signal is detected by means of reflected light from the light source of the device itself and from other light sources, and integration is performed a plurality of times. Further, the exposure period is set to a period in which the light source of the device itself is extinguished, the pixel signal is detected by means of the reflected light from the other light sources, and integration is performed a plurality of times. A distance measurement calculation is then performed by subtracting the integrated value of the pixel signal for which the exposure period was set in synchronism with the timing at which the light source was extinguished, from the integrated value of the pixel signal for which the exposure period was set in synchronism with the light emission timing. This disclosure is applicable to ToF sensors.
