Abstract:
It is necessary to provide a distributed computing system capable of suppressing delay in distributed processing caused by data acquisition inability when performing a task using predetermined data using Paxos. In the disclosed distributed computing system, servers (2a to 2c) constituting a cell form an agreement by way of Paxos and perform a task using predetermined data according to an instruction of a client (3); wherein a leader server (2a) transmits a data acquisition expediting signal to agent servers (2b and 2c), whereupon the agent servers (2b and 2c), if not possessing the data, transmit a data acquisition completion signal to the leader server (2a) upon acquiring the data. The leader server (2a), upon receiving the data acquisition completion signal from half or more of the servers constituting the cell after itself also acquiring the data, transmits an execution signal instructing execution of the task to the agent servers (2b and 2c), whereupon the agent servers (2b and 2c) perform the task using the data.
