The present invention provides a distributed processing system for correctly determining a task assignee even when a processing load frequently changes. The distributed processing system includes an analysis node for analyzing input information and a management node, connected to the analysis node via a network, for holding performance information that indicates the performance of the analysis node. The management node has a performance information integration unit for integrating performance information pertaining to the analysis node connected to the management node. The analysis node has a task determination unit for determining whether a task be executed in the analysis node or a task be distributed to and executed by the other analysis nodes on the basis of a first cost of executing the task in the analysis node that is calculated on the basis of performance information pertaining to the analysis node and a second cost indicating the cost of distributed processing of the task being distributed to and executed by the other analysis nodes that is calculated on the basis of performance information pertaining to the other analysis nodes differing from the analysis node and integrated by the performance information integration unit.
